Youth Corner

Hello my name is Joe Lewis Pollard III and I am 17 years old. I have been in church since I was 6 years old. As a young man I have experienced many of God’s blessings, his love and favor in my life.

When I was 10 years old I was chosen to represent Clark Street School at the Pfister Hotel for an award ceremony for one of my mentors. I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Carl Zimmerman and other important people.

My Pastor, Bishop C. H. McClelland has been another great role model in my life. I was inspired to write about him during Black History Month some years ago. I was blessed to attended a trip to Washington, DC while I was in middle school at Jared C. Bruce Academy and won a $5000.00 scholarship. God has blessed me to travel to a few places he has truly been good to me. I am blessed to volunteer at Holy Cathedral and I am happy to have a pastor that supports the youth. I am currently a Junior in Highschool and looking foward to attending college. One of my dreams is to become a mortician.

Joe has been a model youth and an inspiration to many of his peers. Holy Cathedral wishes nothing but the best for our youth. We have no doubt that Joe will achieve all of his dreams, goals and aspirations.
